Rainmeter doesn’t affect neither RAM, nor CPU, it only depends on how are coded the skins you load and use. Even when it does “work”, you’ll be forced to deal with crashes, slow ram and tons of bloatware. Most rainmeter themes use a LOT less than that, and even that would use less if you turned off the animations. It will use about 35 MB of RAM and about 5% of your CPU, because of all the animations. Then open Rainmeter and click ‘Refresh skins’ at the bottom. Just go to Documents/Rainmeter/skins (that’s the default folder anyway) and delete any skins you no longer want. The load increases with the skins you load, but for the average person, running 5-10 skins say, I would guess that Rainmeter will use about 2-4% of CPU. Re: If I install rainmeter will my computer slow down? Rainmeter itself will use virtually zero CPU resources. So, the answer is yes (just the same as running any program would have an affect), but the amount completely depends on how you use it. … Rainmeter is one of the popular desktop customization software available for the Windows operating system. Rainmeter is Safe and a trustworthy application. As long as you get Rainmeter from, it is 100% safe.
